Church leader who blamed COVID-19 on same-sex marriage tests positive for virus - Daily Kos

Patriarch Filaret, the 91-year-old who heads Kyiv Patriarchate, a Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Ukraine, made international headlines back in March when he blamed the novel coronavirus on same-sex marriage. Now, he is making headlines again. Why? According to the church, Filaret tested positive for the virus on Sep. 4 and has since been hospitalized. According to the church’s Facebook statement, he is in a stable condition and treatment is ongoing.

Now, if you’re wondering just how explicitly he blamed same-sex marriage, it was pretty cut and dry, according to translations. While appearing on a local TV station, Filaret as reported by The Independent, described the pandemic as punishment from God, brought on by “sinfulness of humanity; first of all, I mean same-sex marriage.” ...

Who would have dreamed a 91-y-o, white, male religious leader with a ridiculous hat and dress on could be so out of touch with reality?!

in last update, I asked you for donations. After one day first donation arrived and to this day seven people donated.

One of them is Andrzej even though he has no account on Kyselo yet. He asked for RSS channel of /all. Because this is relatively easy I implemented it - /all/rss.

There are also another improvements:

there is new RSS button for humans and <link> tag for machines
you can now watch RSS feed of certain tag - e.g. things I found funny - /severak/rss?tag=funny
tags works also for /all, but you have to make URLs yourself - e.g. https://kyselo.eu/all?tag=important
